Yandy and Javier were EXCELLENT! They were on time, friendly, and very professional. It was an installation of an entire new ac unit and they did a great job! They took their time to install both pieces of equipment (inside and out). They were very attentive to all aspects of the install, explained the new equipment, and answered any questions that I had. Armstrong installed a Carrier a/csystem at my home recently along with the task of a complete overhaul of all components of my system. The team that quoted my system and performed the install, including Todd, Juan Arroyo and team were incredible. They showed up the day after providing their estimate and worked a 12 hour day to make sure the system was up and running for my family. All of the workers were very professional and knowledgeable and the workmanship was excellent. I would highly recommend them to replace, fix or do any other maintenance on your home HVAC system.

Unfortunately, I encountered one of the drivers for this company. He was recklessly driving and it seemed like he was trying to merge however I saw no blinker and was unsure, turns out, when we end up at a red light, he rolled his window down and spit his gum towards my car. I was very confused on how someone can drive for a company vehicle, suddenly get super angry and purposely spit on someone’s car. Be careful of who this company hires and who you let in your home. This was on Lake Mary Blvd at around 3:40 pm in the afternoon.

Either incompetent or plainly dishonest service. AC was not working, they said the outside condensing coil needed to be replaced at about 6K or entire 7 year old Lennox system replaced at 8K. Got a second opinion, unit repaired at 1.5k total. Armstrong has always overcharged but this crossed the line. Will never trust you again. And to top it off, they sent an unprofessional person that made my wife feel very uncomfortable.

As a company I’d give 3.5 or 4 starGood customer service and they work with you. They only issue is I think they should expedite service because the A/C been out and we pay for the new part but it takes too long to come out to swap the faulty part. He recognized almost immediately what was wrong with the AC and had the part to fix it right away. He was efficient, friendly, and kind. Michael Sosa did a fantastic job getting our residential AC fixed. He replaced my Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) in the attic and did a thorough inspection on the whole unit. What makes the difference between contractors is how they respond to those challenges and transform them into opportunities.Armstrong is top notch in responsiveness and professionalism. The recent challenge I got with my system are being addressed by Armstrong service manager in. Central Florida (Pedro) and one of his senior technicians (Christian).My experience has been nothing but the best.Establishment of a long term maintenance agreement requires high levels of trust. Armstrong responsiveness and professionalism do work well for me. I do plan on maintaining and renewing my service agreement with Armstrong throughout the life of the equipment, and recommend anyone to do the same.

Armstrong A/C Company - Emergency Service Saturday 8/24/24. Beware of this company (which was highly recommended on Nextdoor). Our A/C unit was working but not blowing cold air (of course it started late Friday afternoon). So I contacted several companies that offered weekend services. Armstrong called back promptly but charges $125 just to show up for a diagnostic. Mine was a possible Freon leak which needed to be located. Another charge of $165 for the leak detection (a 5 to 10 minute job when you have the tool). It ended up being a coil leak and my total was close to $300 for the diagnostic. Chad recommended to replace the coil and the refrigerant for an estimate close to $5000. But then he mentioned that it may be better to replace the whole unit (which is only 6 years old by the way). It seemed expensive so I called another company who came on Monday and only charged me $99 to identify/confirm the leak and only charges $1900 to replace the coil (which by the way is still under warranty!). Why didn't Armstrong mention this? What a shame!

My mistake a month ago with a bad review as it was all a miscommunication issue, the next day the manager Tom contacted me offering me any available help, he was very friendly and customer service oriented, eager and willing to resolve my issues immediately. He. offered me a refund for the inspection fee, I’m still waiting for the refund for the inconvenience but I’m sure he fulfill his promise as I realize that they are serious business. Google apparently allows one review per customer for any particular business. So I am attaching this new review to the front of my previous review. Yesterday our air stopped working. On a Saturday, of course! Armstrong made me very happy by having a repairperson at our house WITHIN THE HOUR. On a Saturday afternoon! Unbelievable service!! Bruno was awesome! The repair was simple, just clean out the drain pipe. But Bruno had to reconfigure our garden irrigation timer to use our water, and I let him plug into our landscape lighting system for power. He was so thorough and accurate about restoring both to exactly how they had been, and I didn’t have to reconnect or reconfigure either the irrigation or light timer after he left. In addition to being thorough, Bruno was very friendly, and even took time to give some petting to our little dog! I would ask for Bruno next time, tho as you will read from my previous review below, I have been very pleased with ALL of Armstrong’s people, including their office people on the phone. Now, what follows is my previous review, originally posted March, 2024: We have used Armstrong for years. Today Sam and Yandy replaced our HVAC unit which was 11 years old. I am very pleased with their competence, manners, knowledge, and communication. And their clean-up was great. Sam answered lots of questions clearly and in easy to understand terms. Both have great personalities, which is always appreciated.

I highly doubt they have qualified technicians. The technician who came to diagnose my ac issue replaced capacitor and then again ac didn’t work. He spent nearly 2 hours and then told thermostat should be replaced and he didn’t bother to check my warranty and I paid him $1000 and still waiting for my ac to get started. I strongly feel you can still run your ac and check off everything else is working without thermostat which the technician had no knowledge. Not just this company when it comes to HVAC everyone is a scam and this company is no exception. As a consumer I am at loss and still without AC after paying $1000 and what next this company would ask me to change entire system and loot probably $10000.

Exceeded expectations. After receiving quotes from 4 different vendors, I selected Armstrong Air to install new AC/heating/thermostat based on their competitive pricing, professional presentation & fully answering all my questions. We’ve had so many issues over the past year with our AC and have had so many technicians come out to service it but Carlos and Raul were able to fix it fast and efficiently. My a/c stopped and they had a tech here on less than 36 hours. I met Michael at my house, he introduced himself very professionally, and went to work. He diagnosed the issue quickly, repaired it just as quickly, ran a full inspection and got my a/c running straight away. Michael was very patient and took time to explain everything he did, and why. Chad and Sam did an amazing job. I had been stressing about our ac drain line broken up in the wall. We live in a community with 84/homes that Armstrong installed all of the same units two years ago. We now have a problem with a defective valve & we're told they will have to order the part with no estimate when it will be in. We are in the hottest part of the summer. This is the second time we were told they do not carry a part. I can not for the life of me understand how a company does not understand if you install a large amount of units why would they not carry back up parts. This is a deplorable customer service failure! How this company can still be in business in its self amazing. I strongly urge anyone considering signing on with them for warranty coverage, run not walk, away for this pathetic company.

I called them to come and look at my unit that they installed 21 years ago, because the Air Handle stopped blowing. They came out first thing in the morning as I asked and within an hour they were done.Quality install once again, saved me a lot of money. 21 years and still blowing cold with the same refrigerant.

Where to begin…We moved into our lovely new construction home to find that the AC was not working properly, fast-forward three weeks(!) of constant back-and-forth with this company: They sent a technician(week 1), says that they don’t know what’s wrong with it, send a “supervisor”(week 2), saying it needs a simple air balance, different technician(late week 2) comes back, says it’s not the air balance and they can’t fix it. Week 3, calling them and keep getting the “we will call you back” spiel. Guess what? They didn’t call.It’s unfortunate that at this point it has been over a month in our new home and our 10 month old daughter cannot even sleep in her room(along with others) don’t cool at all(Armstrong is aware of this). We will happily remove this one star review, once they address this ongoing issue that should’ve been done weeks ago.

Had an issue with some leaks from the HVAC unit. Called Armstrong and they were able to come the next day. The service tech Mike was phenomenal. He was thorough in evaluating what ended up being a bad clog in the pipes and took the time to not only fix the problem but to inform me step by step what was going on and remedies I can take going forward. Will definitely be using Armstrong going forward for all our HVAC needs.

Sam came out today to replace the mini split in our Florida room which should be easy but….. whoever built the Florida room ran all the wires and drains behind the framing. Why does the ac wait til the week end to croak....never fails right... I called and sweet gal got me scheduled quicker than any other 24 hour service could...price was cheaper for service call as well..Mario was on time and knew what he was doing..thankfully it was what we thought it was..the capacitor...he checked everything else as well...now just waiting for house to cool off again...damn these hot summers!! My AC started acting up during the last few days of May. It was obvious the unit wasn’t performing up to specs and we were concerned that with the busy AC season we wouldn’t be able to get a quick appointment. Armstrong Air scheduled us promptly with Diandro on May 28th. I was notified via a text that included his picture when he was on his way. Diandro arrived on time, professional, technically proficient and very caring. Within minutes of his arrival he had an idea of what was wrong with my old AC and after completing a multitude of tests, he presented us with several options to handle the problem. From coil replacement all the way to full unit replacement and options in between. The best part of his approach was that we had full decision making autonomy without pressure towards any specific solution! When questions about getting a new unit came up, his manager Pedro emailed me all the documentation needed to make a decision. Armstrong Air is exactly how a reputable company should conduct business. I can’t speak highly enough about Diandro and Pedro; friendly and personally available throughout the entire process. Even post installation. Pedro took the time to answer questions late into the night while I was out of the country on a business trip. They truly took care of it all. I’m so impressed with Diandro that I already requested him to be my tech of choice for any future needs!We decided to upgrade our home AC system to the latest Carrier available. Pedro was able to schedule an install team and a Carrier unit with all my requests within 1 business day.Brand new unit and install team arrived first thing June 3rd. Anthony and Alex were incredible. They took incredibly good care of my home, protected my wood floors and laundry machines on their way to the attic with a very heavy Carrier air handler. They felt like family. They made the installation a non-event for my family. Even my dog felt at ease while they moved around the house. The installation of the air handler in the attic is nothing short of a work of art. The ducts and attachments are picture perfect. However, my true appreciation for them came after observing Anthony and Alex lifting, removing and installing this massive units while navigating pool piping and heater. Not an easy task and they handled it with a smile on their face.I am new to the area. We selected Armstrong just because they were the original installers of the AC system when the house was built, but I’m now a loyal customer after observing their high level of professionalism!Highly recommend!

Very personable and knowledgeable. Explained the service needed for my air conditioner very clearly. Even cleaned out the lizard skeleton that was in the condenser unit! Also, I know his evaluation of the maintenance necessary for our unit is honest because I had another company out two days ago and that technician told me my condenser was in bad condition and that the biological growth—mold—on my unit was too far gone to do a pull and clean. Diandro explained that a surface cleaning should be sufficient. He also suggested a UV light to help curtail further growth. The other company suggested this, as well. But they wanted $1400 for a light. Diandro quoted the same UV preventative measures for only $495. Very helpful young man. Very patient and thorough. I trust this company more than the others I have worked with.

Michael was EXCELLENT! I was told someone would be here between 3-6 and Michael got here at 2:45p which was great and he wore shoe covers as to not track dirt in my house which was very considerate. He took the time to explain to me the problem, the solution, and how he was going to fix it. He also provided advice on maintenance information for my unit. He was very polite and knowledgeable and explained to me how to better maintain my unit and what I can expect even in the next year to come when he didn’t have to. UPDATE 2/18/2021: Armstrong saved us again! Our other unit on the bedroom side of our house decided to die, so I didn’t hesitate to call Armstrong again! Let me tell you, Tom Hyatt is so wonderful and replied to our “emergency” (because in FL having no working ac unit IS an emergency). From 2018 when I walked in to an 83 degree home with my husband who literally was coming home from back surgery, to now in 2021 where my MIL (post stroke) is staying with us, Tom has saved us without hesitation both times. No other company could say “we can temporarily cool your home to get you through tonight and install a new unit tomorrow.” Crew was on time, friendly and polite as could be. When they left, they cleaned up so well - which I really appreciated. I can’t recommend them enough.When our 13 year old Trane system (10 SEER) decided to die, we contacted Armstrong for a new system. We had used them previously for annual maintenance (Christian and Lenny are amazing) and really liked the level of customer service. Tom Hyatt came out and gave us an amazing deal on a new Carrier system (15 SEER) and even upgraded both thermostats to a new digital one. Installation was great, Israel and Fernando were SO polite a professional and arrived on time! I would highly recommend Armstrong for both maintenance/repair and installation.

I have used Armstrong several times since moving to Florida from the frozen north. Most recently, I called them to the house because my primary unit was not performing well. The tech gave me straightforward information (alas, the patient was not doing well) and quoted me a repair price on the spot, after a quick call with his office to verify. Because the unit was out of warranty (I am not the original owner of the house) I opted to replace it rather than repair.Tom (sales manager) got back to me promptly. He thoroughly answered all my questions about the pros and cons of the various units. I opted to bump my unit from a 2.5 to 3 ton and had a Carrier [16 SEER] installed. The install was one week from the initial visit. The two-man crew was on time, professional and very efficient. And my house is cooling down FAST.No one likes to spend money on the less-exciting stuff -- but in central Florida AC is a must. With Armstrong I am confident I am getting honest information and fair pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I change/clean my filter?
It’s recommended to change your air filter regularly, about every month if possible—especially if you have pets in your home.
On the longer end, air ducts should be cleaned every few years. A clogged air filter not only restricts airflow, but also forces your air conditioner to work harder to maintain a temperature.
When should I replace my air conditioner?
Like most machines, air conditioners don’t last forever and tend to wear out over time and become inefficient—which results in higher electrical costs. Any system over 10 years old is likely in need of maintenance or a replacement.
What size system is right for my home?
This can be a tricky question. Many factors come into play to determine the size capacity system your home requires—like square footage, climate, humidity insulation, direction of home etc. Let Armstrong do a simple energy analysis to help you decide what’s right for your home.
What is a heat pump?
Heat pumps are also known as “reverse cycle air conditioners.” And despite what the name implies, it actually heats and cools your home by moving heat in or out of the space as desired. This is different from a Straight Cool air conditioner which uses an external element to create heat—typically from natural gas, oil or LP gas furnaces.
How often should I service my unit?
Your A/C unit should generally be serviced twice a year during the transitional seasons (Spring & Fall) to ensure it’s working at peak performance for Summer & Winter. Call us for our Energy Savings Agreement Plan and our 21-Point preventive maintenance inspections.
What does zoning mean?
Zoning means sort of what you’d think. It’s a method of dividing a home into different areas so each area can be independently controlled for respective heating and air-conditioning needs.
How close should I put plants near my outdoor unit?
To operate efficiently, your unit needs space to take in air as well as blow it out. It’s ideal to plant shrubs, plants and anything of the likes no closer than 18 inches to the unit.
What setting should I leave my thermostat on?
Obviously the time of year becomes a big factor for desired temperature settings. In the summer months the average temperature setting is 76°-78°, in the winter 70°-72° seems to be the most common setting. Remember, when leaving your house, try to avoid drastic temperature changes. Do not set your temperature back more than 5°; this will cause your unit to work harder to achieve the desired temperature setting.
