On Saturday, July 31, Armstrong Air and Heating boasted an incredible turnout for our second annual Back to S-Cool event, a community-forward day that is one part fundraiser, one part school prep, and one part party.
In all—with the help of our fantastic sponsors and donors—we donated more than 500 backpacks absolutely brimming with supplies to local students.
That’s not all, though. When we said we wanted to send these students to school prepared, we meant it! Those who attend our extravaganza in person left with complimentary haircuts and physical exams, to get a healthy start on the year.
As the day went on, our attendees delightfully enjoyed free food and a ton of games, filling the air with the kind of late-summer optimism that makes you want to run fast in a new pair of shoes, try on seventeen outfits and conquer the world.
There was basketball. There was hula-hooping. There were bounce houses galore. There was a DJ with more charm, charisma and cheerful wholesomeness than John Travolta on Instagram. To be humble, it was an outrageously good time.
